I am parting out around a late 80's to early 90's Yamaha 40 hp 2 stroke 3 cylinder outboard because of low compression in one cylinder. The motor was traded in on a new one from the dealership that I purchased it from and they told me it was a runner! Up for bid in this auction is the ignition timing base with charge coil, ect. that is in good operating condition and nice cosmetic condition as well. This should fit years from around 1986 on up to around 1992, maybe others, and for sure it will fit 40, and 50 hp but please do your research before purchasing to be sure it will fit yours. I will be listing lots of parts from this motor over the next couple weeks!    Thank-you for looking!

BID TO SLOW TRAFFIC ON M3 STRETCH

Fri, 14 Feb 2014

FIRST it was a stretch of the M1 and now the same speed reduction plan has been announced for a stretch of the M3 motorway in Surrey and Hampshire. The Highways Agency (HA) has proposed that a three-mile section of the M3 between junction 3 at Lightwater in Surrey and junction 4 near Farnborough in Hampshire be subject to a 60mph restriction. This section is part of a 13.4-mile stretch that is being upgraded in a £174 million scheme, with the 60mph proposal, to operate between 7am and 7pm daily so air quality levels can be met.

Jaguar XF is ‘Car of the Decade’

Mon, 22 Oct 2012

The Southern Guild of Motoring Writers has declared the Jaguar XF the car of the decade at the SGMW’s 10th anniversary event. Designed by Ian Callum, under Ford’s ownership, the XF demonstrated that Jaguar had finally realised that building cars that were a pastiche of past glories was no longer enough to guarantee sales. Under the skin, much of the Jaguar XF carried over from its predecessor – the Jaguar S Type – but it was in the execution that the XF demonstrated it was capable of giving Jaguar new life.
