Tesla guarantee future value of Model S in finance deal
Tue, 07 Oct 2014Tesla guarantee future value of Model S (pictured) in finance deal If you run a company car – and you’re comfortably off – there’s a lot to commend the Tesla Model S. But if you’re a comfortably off private buyer who doesn’t quite get the tax breaks on a car a company car driver does, Tesla still want to make you an offer you can’t refuse. Evanta Barchetta gets revealed at Goodwood Revival
Sat, 13 Sep 2014Evanta Barchetta gets revealed at Goodwood Revival There’s definitely an appetite for properly built, low-run retro sports cars – from proper roadsters to GTs like the David Brown’s Speedback – so the arrival of the Evanta Barchetta at the Goodwood Revival, looking like a properly sorted (and built) retro-styled Roadster, should be greeted with enthusiasm, rather than moans about ‘Garden Shed’ cars. That’s because the Evanta Barchetta is the result of a collaboration between Afzil Kahn – he of Bradford’s Kahn Design – and Evanta’s Ant Anstead, with low volume experience and expertise coming from Ant’s Evanta and design and engineering from Kahn. So it should be properly sorted.
Map-reading driver gets ban and hefty fine
Thu, 29 May 2014AN ELDERLY driver has been fined more than £1,000 and banned for a year after he was caught reading a map at the wheel. Peter John Rigby, 73, of Beamsley in Skipton, North Yorkshire, was captured by police cameras flicking through an atlas for at least 10 seconds while driving his Honda Jazz on March 4. The car caught the attention of a camera operator when it began to wander across the white line of the overtaking lane.
