Land Rover Freelander Metropolis is the Freelander’s Swan Song

The Land Rover Freelander Metropolis (pictured) is the new range-topping Freelander Land Rover will soon be losing the Freelander name as the next Freelander becomes a new Discovery Sport, but before that we’re getting a revised Freelander range and a new range-topper – the Land Rover Freelander Metropolis. The Freelander Metropolis is a Freelander with all the option boxes already ticked, so you get the best Windsor Leather with electric seats, deep pile carpets to squidge your toes in, Panoramic glass roof for an airy cabin, heated steering wheel and a set of new 19″ alloys. You’ll also get quality sound thanks to the standard 825 watt surround sound audio, along with LED running lights, reversing camera and a touch screen SatNav too.

Renault Megane Sport Tourer Extreme launched

Renault has introduced a new entry-level Megane Estate - the Renault Megane Sport Tourer Extreme It sounds as if a Renault Megane Sport Tourer Extreme should be a rival for a Renaultsport, but it’s not. It’s the new entry-level package on the Megane Sport Tourer. But there’s nothing wrong with that, even if the ‘Extreme’ designation is a bit of an oxymoron (unless you think of it in terms of at the bottom extreme of the range).

New (2014) Mazda 3 revealed – no prices yet

The new Mazda3 (pictured) arrives – and it looks good. The Mazda3 is already a better car than its sales would suggest, and the all new Mazda3 looks to be even more competition for the Ford Focus and VW Golf than ever before. Perhaps the only complaint about the Mazda3′s design is that it looks a bit too much like a shrunken Mazda6, but that’s a bit like moaning the DB9 looks like the Vanquish (well, the Mazda3′s not that good looking, but it makes the point).
