Mitsubishi Evo X to be the last Evo – until, perhaps, a hybrid Evo XI

The Mitsubishi EVO X – the last Evo The UK has just had the news that a very limited edition Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X FQ-440 MR is up for grabs as Mitsubishi celebrate their 40th anniversary. But once the Evo X FQ-440 MR special editions are sold, it will be back to no Evos for the UK, just as it has been since 2011. And it seems the rest of the world will soon follow suit.

Bugatti Grand Sport Venet edition (2012): a 253mph art car

This is the latest one-off Bugatti Veyron supercar: the Bernar Venet editon. Partly inspired by the 1970s BMW art cars of Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, French artist Bernar Venet's creation pays tribute to the eggheads responsible for the Veyron's conception, by covering the front panels in mathematical equations relating to the output of the car's enormous engine. The Lamborghini LP560 has been with us for a few months now, so bang on cue Lamborghini has announced the convertible version – The Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder (what a mouthful – I think we’ll just stick with ‘LP560′). The Spyder version of the original Gallardo was always one of our favourites. It gave away so little to the hard-top version it really made sense to have the convertible – a rare thing with a performance car.
