Expected to appear in concept form at the Los Angeles auto show late this year, the second-generation version of the modern-day Beetle goes on sale in the United States in May 2011. A convertible with a fabric top will follow about a year later.

Peugeot 107 Verve Road Test The 107 is a great first car – easy to drive, easy to park, insurance group 1E (so it won’t cost an arm and a leg to get a bit of no claims going), so much so I’ve already recommended it to a friend who is looking to buy her first car after passing her test. The 2014 Mercedes S-Class' interior has been revealed ahead of its debut at next week's New York Auto Show. The overall interior architecture is a clear evolution of the current car's, with a wave-form IP and a separate binnacle but, as you would expect from the latest generation of a car famous for its pioneering tech, it hosts a vast array of electronic innovations. The all-digital gauge pack and 12.3-inch high-resolution center display features Splitview dual-display technology and the fifth-generation Comand system powered by an Intel Atom processor, controlled by a rotary dial.
