MINI London 2012 Edition launches to celebrate Olympic Games
Wed, 28 Sep 2011MINI London 2012 Edition - in patriotic red, white or blue The launch of the MINI London 2012 Edition to celebrate the Olympic Games neatly pulls together two of MINI’s marketing tactics; shove out as many limited edition models as you can and give them a London theme. Corvette ZR1 price bombshell
Thu, 25 Sep 2008By Greg Fountain Motor Industry 25 September 2008 14:37 General Motors has pitched the Corvette into the price stratosphere by announcing that the 206mph ZR1 will retail at an eye-watering £109,000 in the UK. The outrageous price tag is the biggest shock since we found out how genuinely brilliant the ZR1 is to drive.
Ironman Stewart retires, sells all
Fri, 27 Aug 2010The off-road racing accomplishments of Ivan "Ironman" Stewart might never be matched: 82 major wins in desert racing, 17 of them in the crash-and-bang Mickey Thompson stadium series, three Baja 1000s and others too numerous to squeeze in here over a career that spanned 30 years. The thing that really sets him apart is that, while competitors shared driving duties over the long desert courses, Stewart did the vast majority of them alone, with no relief drivers--just him and the dirty, dusty desert. But even legends want to retire someday.
