Audi A7 – Spy Video
Fri, 29 Jan 2010We have spy video of the new The Audi A7 (below) The Audi A7 seems to have been coming for a long time now. A swoopy, four-door coupe it’s yet another of Audi’s attempts at niche-filling, and is aimed straight at rivals such as the CLS from Mercedes. Fiat 500 Abarth (2008): first official pictures
Wed, 20 Feb 2008By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 20 February 2008 10:00 Watch out Mini, the Fiat 500 – CAR’s car of the year 2007 – is getting the high-performance treatment. The Abarth version unveiled today is pitched as a new interpretation of the Sixties road racer, but can they make a bigger, heavier hatch as exciting as that? The 500 Abarth 2008-style uses the Fiat group’s 16-valve 1.4-litre Fire engine breathing with the assistance of an IHI variable-geometry turbocharger to deliver a warm 135bhp at 5500rpm. So this car won’t challenge the upper echelons of hot-hatchdom that now have to pump out closer to 200bhp to be in contention.
Peugeot 207 GTI
Thu, 11 Jan 2007By Tim Pollard Motor Industry 11 January 2007 01:35 Peugeot's online webzine has accidentally let slip two images of the new 207 GTI, spilling important details of its new hot hatch two months ahead of its launch. The 206 GTI never recaptured the fizz that made its 205 predecessor one of the iconic pocket rockets, but Peugeot hopes to fix that this time round. For a start, the 206 gets the same turbocharged 175bhp 1.6 as in the Mini Cooper S; Peugeot-Citroen PSA collaborated with BMW, which builds the four-cylinder engines at its Hams Hall plant in the Midlands, UK.
