Peugeot has introduced two new diesel engines for its stylish 407 Coupe But it’s a decent car, and Peugeot has now made it more appealing with some updates for 2009 / 2010. The style changes are very minor – a bit of chrome trim and bigger door mirrors – and the 407 Coupe now gets  Bluetooth and hands-free as standard equipment on its Connect Navigation (RNEG). But the big news is the new diesel engines.

Audi’s new A1 supermini has gone on UK sale today, priced from £13,145 for a 1.2 TFSI SE trim model to £18,280 for a range-topping 1.4 TFSI auto. That pitches the A1 slightly above the Mini, whose boggo First three-door kicks off at £12,620. Government sets drug-drive limits

Plans to introduce a drug-drive limit have edged closer as limits for 16 different drugs have been approved. Eight prescription and eight illicit drugs have been added to the regulations which will be introduced this autumn, meaning it’ll be an offence to be over the prescribed limits. Police ‘spitalyser’ to catch drug-drivers Young people in drug-driving shock Police will be clamping down on people who drive after taking drugs such as cannabis with a limit of 2 micrograms per litre (mcg/l), cocaine (10mcg/l) and ecstasy (10mcg/l) – while people who take prescription drugs like morphine (80mcg/l) and diazepam (550mcg/l) will also have to be careful not to break the limit.
