Buick revives Regal name for upcoming sedan

Buick confirmed on Wednesday that it's resurrecting the Regal nameplate for its next midsize sedan. Additional details weren't announced, but the car is expected to arrive on the market next year or in 2011. Though the Regal name has been mothballed for about six years, Buick says it remains one of the brand's most recognizable.

Volkswagen has shown off its Up Taxi Concept at a special unveiling in London today. The Up Taxi is VW's vision of a quirky and environmental rival to the classic London black cab, the Hackney carriage, and offers a very good idea of what the Up will eventually look like. The concept has luxurious leather seats and big touchscreens in the front and rear.

SEAT hints at new Nurburgring lap record

Repeated references to the Nurburgring during the press conference at the launch of the new SEAT Leon Cupra strongly suggest that the 280hp hot hatch has broken the front-wheel drive lap record. SEAT is waiting until the 2014 Geneva Motor Show before saying any more, but has already hinted that its new Leon Cupra is significantly faster than the current Renaultsport Megane record holder.
