Renault teases extra hot Megane RS

Mon, 28 Apr 2014

Renault has teased a new, more hardcore version of its Megane Renaultsport coupe on its Facebook page, hinting that the French firm is developing an even more focused version of the sporty hatch to rival the SEAT Leon Cupra 280. The picture appeared with the hastag “#Under8”, meaning the SEAT is a logical target. The Cupra 280 model recently set the front-wheel drive Nurburgring production car lap record with a time of 7 minutes 58.4 seconds.

2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee facelift revealed

Mon, 14 Jan 2013

Chrysler has rolled out a facelift for the 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the usual cosmetic tweaks, better interior and new 8-speed auto ‘box. The only real criticisms we can level at the current Grand Cherokee (which, coincidently  we have in for review this week) is some cheap trim on the inside, a blobby infotainment system and an old-school, five-speed auto ‘box that really has no place in a modern, premium SUV.

Jaguar and Williams F1 to partner on C-X75 hybrid supercar technology

Fri, 06 May 2011

Jaguar is teaming up with Williams F1 to put a limited run of $1.1 million C-X75 hybrid-powered supercars into production in late 2013 with a crucial partnership that links two storied British companies to develop cutting-edge technology. Jag and Williams have been working on a production plan for the C-X75 since January and will share development over the next few years. “Williams has expertise in composite structures, advanced powertrains, aerodynamics, low-volume production and speedy production development,” said Bob Joyce, Jaguar Land Rover's chief engineer.
