2011 VW Passat Price & Model detail

Mon, 18 Oct 2010

2011 Volkswagen Passat Price & Model detail released Volkswagen gave us the very slightly facelifted 2011 VW Passat a few weeks ago. They like to call it the seventh generation Passat, but when we reported the reveal at the Paris Motor Show we said we struggled to see it as a anything more than six and three-quarters as its underpinnings are identical. Actually, Passat 6.5 might be e better description.

Alfa Romeo 4C on track with Giancarlo Fisichella (video)

Tue, 17 Sep 2013

Giancalrlo Fisichella takes the Alfa 4C round Balocco (pictured) The Alfa Romeo 4C – Alfa’s baby supercar – is due on sale next month following its UK dynamic debut at Goodwood, so to get a bit of adrenaline flowing in the veins of potential buyers, Fiat grabbed Ferrari test driver Giancarlo Fisichella and stuck him behind the wheel of the 4C to play at the Balocco test track, Fiat’s proving ground. And we have to say, the 4C doesn’t just look good, it sounds great and looks to be as light and nimble as expected. In many ways, the Alfa 4C is an Italian take on the Lotus Elise, but it manages to do it with a huge dose of Alfa flair, both in its design and its execution.

BMW M3 coupe stripped down to go club racing

Wed, 04 Nov 2009

BMW's M division is back in the business of building specialty street-legal race cars with a new lightweight version of the M3 called the GTS. The lightweight coupe, set to go on sale in early 2010 at a yet-undisclosed price, was conceived as a limited-edition model primarily for club-based racing in much the same way that Porsche builds the 911 GT3 Clubsport. But in a clear effort to link its track-based activities with the production-car side of its business, BMW's M division is offering the new car with a homologation package that will allow customers to register the M3 GTS for street use.
