Lutz's Cadillac puts on a better show than Lutz

Fri, 30 Oct 2009

"Hi, I'm Bob Lutz, and this is the Cadillac CTS-V Drive Challenge." General Motors Co.'s marketing chief dons his monogrammed helmet and puts Cadillac's 550-horsepower sedan through some warm-up laps at Monticello Motor Club, a members-only track. In what might have passed as a dismissible moment of Lutz braggadocio, "Maximum" Bob has challenged anyone with a four-door sedan to beat his 2010 CTS-V. Though not a showman by trade, Lutz is bankable for amusing, bald-faced assessments of his employer, his critics and the auto industry at large.

UK Budget 2011: the outcome for motorists

Wed, 23 Mar 2011

UK chancellor George Osborne announced the 2011 budget today - which includes fuel duty cuts and changes to car tax that will affect every motorist in the land. 2011 Budget changes to fuel duty The Government will cut 1p in fuel duty, effective from 6.00pm tonight. Osborne said the fuel tax cut was designed to offset rising fuel prices, which have burdened every driver with higher bills. Video: Stuntman flips over charging Lamborghini

Fri, 15 Mar 2013

This might be the coolest video we’ve seen this week: a stuntman at last week’s Top Gear Festival at Sydney Motorsport Park in Australia flips over a charging Lamborghini Murcielago. The supercar isn’t traveling even close to peak speed, but the stuntman’s timing, vertical jump and acrobatics are impressive enough. The festival combined a slew of motorsport spectacles and stunts, hosted by UK Top Gear presenters Jeremy Clarkson, James May and “The Stig.”
