THIS PORTED TOP END WAS ONE OF NICK AT CARBON TECHs PERSONAL cylinders

this is a 61X top end  that has been extensively ported and opened up for big power. the top of the port is very rounded for extended ring life and better bottom and mid power instead of all top end.  the pro-x pistons and rings are in great condition with no sieze or scuff marks of any kind. this is a like brand new cylinder that currently is at 81.5mm or 1/2mm over stock bore. the exhaust ports are much larger than stock and all the transfer ports have been opened up for max flow. this ported cylinder will create big power over the stock cylinder, with no other mods except maybe carb tuning. this top end will fit on every 61X or 62T 701 or 760 motor. this cylinder came off a super jet with a R&D dry pipe and it ripped! i dont remember who did the porting for carbon tech, but i can assure you it wasnt some kid with a dremmel! this is quality port work and not cheap!

Tesla planning self-driving car

Wed, 18 Sep 2013

Tesla are planning a self-driving car Now that car makers have been fitting radar and sensors to their cars for some time, which allow stuff like adaptive cruise – which automatically slows behind traffic and can even bring the car to s stop on its own – the race is on to make cars even more autonomous. We’ve reported recently on the Mercedes Intelligent Drive S-Class that negotiated its way – more or less – on a 60 mile route in Germany, and on Volvo’s self-parking system which will take your car in to a multi storey car park by itself, park, and meet you when you return. Google has also been playing with self-driving cars and has even gained permission to run its autonomous cars in California, and now Tesla are joining the fray with plans for an autonomous car in the next three years.

Tue, 22 Oct 2013

Has the McLaren P1 lapped the Nurburgring in a record 6 minutes 47 seconds? We knew McLaren were back at the Nurburgring with the P1 in an attempt to make good on Ron Dennis’s promise that the P1 would lap the ‘Ring in under 7 minutes. It appears McLaren has already tried to set a sub-7 minute time with the P1 but could only manage 7:04s so, with the firts P1s now in customer hands – and full performance specs revealed – the final piece of the jigsaw (apart form a Top Gear lap record) is to set a great time at the Nurburgring.
