Lamborghini world debut at Paris

Tue, 16 Sep 2008

By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 16 September 2008 16:21 This solitary photo is Lamborghini’s teaser of a new car that it will unveil at the October 2008 Paris motor show. No other information has been released from Lambo’s Sant’Agata HQ, except this single line of text: ‘It’s not just a new Lamborghini. It’s a new world.’ Lamborghini officials remain tight-lipped, but we know this will be a new bodystyle for the fabled Italian purveyor of extreme sports cars.

Toyota tests chips that improve hybrid efficiency by 10 percent

Tue, 20 May 2014

Toyota announced on Tuesday that it has developed a new semiconductor, claiming it can boost fuel efficiency in hybrid cars by an impressive 10 percent. The semiconductors manage the flow of electricity through the power-control unit that connects the battery to an electric or hybrid car's motor and generator. The newly developed semiconductors are said to consume only a tenth of the energy of today's chips, while allowing the power-control unit to be 80 percent smaller.

Spyker B6 Venator to get 345bhp Lotus V6

It did seem it might just be another flight of fancy by Spyker’s Victor Muller, but it does look like the B6 Venator really is heading for production. Not only that, but Victor has a B6 Venator Spyder in the mix too to add an extra bit of appeal to what looks like it will be an appealing, if still quite expensive, offering from Spyker.
