Kia Recall: 25,000 UK Kias recalled for faulty brake lights
Sat, 01 Jun 2013Kia are recalling 25,000 vehicles in the UK Kia’s research and development checks have uncovered a fault in the brake light switch on a whole raft of Kia cars built between 2006 and 2011, with over 25,000 UK-owned Kias being recalled to have a fix. Models affected are previous model Carens, Sedona, Sorento and Sportage and some of the current Sorento and Soul models as well as a few Optimas (actually, just 2 Optimas). This isn’t a huge problem for owners, but Kia has discovered that carbonisation on the brake light switch contacts can make the switch a bit glitchy, with the possibility the brake lights might not come on at all when the brake pedal is pressed or, if they do come on, they may stay on.
Kia K9 launches in Korea

Kia’s most impressive – and certainly most ambitious - new car has launched in Korea and goes on sale today. But it’s extremely unlikely, even with a change of name from Dr Who’s robotic dog, that we’ll see it in the UK.
Infiniti announces M35h performance, CO2 figures
Mon, 24 Jan 2011Infiniti has confirmed the official performance, emission and fuel consumption figures for its first hybrid, the M35h. The figures are impressive, too: the Infiniti M35h is quicker, cleaner and greener than its petrol or diesel siblings, and not far behind rivals like the BMW 5-series. Let’s start with what you get, and under the bonnet is a 3.5-litre V6 that Nissan 350Z owners might recognise.
