Yamaha Virago Cylinder Head Rebuild Service Xv700 Xv750 Xv920 Xv1000 Xv1100 on 2040-parts.com
Portland, Oregon, United States
This listing is for complete cylinder head rebuild services provided on customer supplied cylinder heads. I do have another listing for machine work only for those who would like to save on labor charges. Price includes parts and labor for disassembly including cam and rocker components, cleaning and inspection of both heads and all parts, all 4 valve guides, valve seat machining, re-grinding the valves, re-facing the valve tappets which are typically pitted, final assembly with new viton valve seals. Heads will be shipped back ready to install.
SEATS- Valve seats are cut using carbide cutters in Serdi equipment. This provides a precision multi-angle valve job which far exceeds the performance of the factory seat profiles. Valve faces are re-ground in centerless valve grinding equipment and the tips are ground to remove pitting from tappets. Final vacuum testing ensures a quality valve job. ASSEMBLY- All parts are carefully cleaned and inspected. Only serviceable parts will be re-used. Heads are re-assembled with new quality viton seals and assembly lube. Deck surfaces are checked for flatness and dressed. Performance upgrades are also available including porting and custom valves in both standard and oversize.

Mercedes SLS AMG: F1 Safety Car 2010
Sat, 27 Feb 2010The Mercedes SLS AMG will be the F1 safety car in 2010 The new F1 season is close to kicking off, and we’ll get round to doing a preview of what’s happening at the start of the 2010 season once we’ve got Geneva out of the way (at least the first bit of Geneva - the F1 season starts on 14th March in Bahrain so we’ll need to get round to it before then). But one bit of news that isn’t team or driver related is the announcement that the safety car for 2010 will be the Mercedes SLS AMG, replacing the car that’s done the job for the last two years – the Mercedes SL63 AMG. Surprisingly, the SLS AMG is the most powerful car ever to be used as a safety car in F1.
