Fri, 13 Aug 2010Sky's 3D pub channel will this weekend host the premiere of a 3D film showing David Coulthard driving the Mercedes SLS supercar around the Isle of Man. Click here to see the making of the 3D Merc SLS video.It was shot using a second SLS carrying a brace of 3D camera gear bolted to the back. After Sky's premiere, CAR Online will show the film here this autumn.Sky's 3D channel shows in 3000 pubs (click here to find your nearest pub). Toyota goes on offensive, seeks 100 percent owner response to recall notice
Mon, 01 Feb 2010Toyota Motor Corp., spurred by criticism that previous recalls failed to prompt enough owners to seek fixes, hopes to distribute mailings this week to the 2.3 million owners targeted in a January recall. Toyota says it will be vigilant in reaching each of the affected customers and hopes to have all repairs done within 90 days. The goal was outlined today as the automaker detailed its strategy for eliminating the possibility of unintended acceleration in the eight Toyota-brand models that were the focus of a Jan.
Jaguar 'villainy' ad banned
Wed, 16 Jul 2014A SECOND JAGUAR ad has been banned in as many months for promoting speed and unsafe driving. The video on Jaguar Land Rover's YouTube channel was titled The Art Of Villainy and featured actor Tom Hiddleston playing a suave villain while driving a Jaguar F-Type in an underground car park and on a public road. The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) received a complaint that the ad was socially irresponsible because it featured and encouraged unsafe driving.
