Renault Zoe EV: Price from £18k plus £70 a month battery lease

Thu, 21 Mar 2013

Price and specifications revealed for the Renault Zoe EV which will start at £18k for the Zoe Expression plus an extra £70 a month for battery lease. The Nissan LEAF may be the best-selling electric car in the world, but it’s still an insignificant speck on the car sales landscape. But Nissan hope sales of electric cars will get a boost with the more ‘affordable’ Renault Zoe EV.

Hyundai i-Blue concept (2007): first official pictures

Wed, 12 Sep 2007

By Guy Bird First Official Pictures 12 September 2007 06:48 Fuel cells, coupes and crossover wagons… The world debut of the i-Blue fuel cell concept headed up a trio of key Hyundai products at the Frankfurt show stand. ‘Spare me another fuel cell concept’ I can almost hear you thinking, but don’t switch off. This one is no theoretical eco powerplant for a fantasy concept but a serious design showcase tailor-made for Hyundai’s very real third-generation fuel cell technology (the previous two versions were in special versions of the bigger Santa Fe and Tucson).  It’s Hyundai’s first ever model designed from the ground-up to incorporate fuel cell technology.

Jaguar F-Type DOES mean next Jaguar XK heading upmarket

Fri, 28 Dec 2012

Ian Callum has said that the new Jaguar F-Type will give Jaguar the opportunity to push the next generation Jaguar XK upmarket. Autocar has been chatting with Jaguar’s design guru, Ian Callum, who has said pretty much what we said in September, namely that the F-Type’s arrival will allow the next XK to be ‘More special than a GT’. Ian also speculates that the next XK could grow in size too to be a bit more than a 2+2, but it seems pretty clear that Jaguar will be looking to take the next XK firmly in to territory currently held by cars like the Aston Martin DB9 and Vanquish.
