Yamaha Xs650 Billet Aluminum Generator Cover (rounded) on 2040-parts.com
Exeter, California, US
This is an alternator cover machined from 6061 billet aluminum. I made several for my Yamaha XS650 café project and test fitted them on my 71 and 82 xs650s without a problem. This one has the low profile and it is just plain with no geometrical pattern like the others. The finish is light emery with no polishing as you can see from the pictures. The back side has marks from machining as shown in the pictures. This cover fit both my 71 and 82 XS650 but if your screw holes vary in your casting it may be necessary for you to file the holes a few thousandths to match your bike. This cover comes with two stainless socket head screws to mount the cover. Shipping will be $5.80 which is what it cost me through the USPS. No returns accepted, No international buyers which means USA only and Paypal only. There will be deliver conformation on this.

Smart Fortwo Lightshine launches
Wed, 12 Jan 2011Yet another Smart Limited Edition - the Smart Fortwo Lightshine You have to hand it to Mercedes – they don’t give up on Smart (or Maybach – another expensive departure). They keep churning out new cars (well, endless new limited editions, anyway) despite sales that seem to keep falling. Last year (2010) saw Smart sales in the UK fall by 8.5% and their sales last month (December 2010) were a woeful 57% down on December 2009.

Thu, 10 May 2012Ferrari 458 'damaging' the Great Wall of China Ferrari hired a section of the Great Wall of China for a publicity event, but an employee damaged the Great Wall by burning rubber in a 458 Italia. China is a very big deal for Ferrari, as evidenced not only by rising sales but by the special editions Ferrari sells in to the burgeoning luxury car market in China, like the 458 Italia China Special Edition. Sot it’s no surprise that Ferrari wanted to hire out a section of the Great Wall from local authorities in China for a bit of an ‘event’.
