This is a set of two one inch round carburetor adaptors I made for my 1982 XS650 Café project. I tooled up to make four sets and ended up selling every adaptor I made. Since I needed a set for my bike I made additional adaptors for my project and few more to sell to people who wanted them. This is the round type that takes the hose and hose clamp as shown in the one example picture. I made this type of spacer for two reasons. I wanted to have the ability to run non-stock carburetors and I also wanted to make a carburetor adapter with the least amount of air obstruction between the carburetor and my intake ports. The bore in these adaptors is about 34mm, and tapers out about 15 degrees to match the bore of my BS38 carburetors on my 82 XS650 special. I simply bored them to match the intake ports on my head and the bore of the carburetors as shown in the pictures then finished the bore with light emery cloth. The only flaws are washer marks where I test fitted them and the usual tool marks from machining. The overall finish is machined aluminum. The assembly pictures are of the adaptors on my 1982 447 engine.

College for Creative Studies Student Exhibition 2007
Mon, 23 Jul 2007The College for Creative Studies (CCS) in Detroit, Michigan hosted their Annual Student Exhibition in May this year, showing the work of more than 3,500 students. The Transportation Design program - sponsored by Toyota, Nissan and Honda - showed off the work of junior and senior students, each working from individual project briefs set by the automakers. Toyota Motor Sales and the company's Calty Design Center challenged students to create a "bridge" vehicle to pull current Scion customers into the Toyota brand as they mature and experience lifestyle transitions.
Land Rover reveals Range Rover Hybrid at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show

The Range Rover Hybrid promises V8 diesel performance but with 25% lower CO2 emissions and economy of more than 44mpg. The new Range Rover Hybrid range actually goes on sale today, during the first press day of the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, with Land Rover delivering the first models in early 2014.
