I just acquired this 1981 Yamaha XS650 Special to part out. Here's the seat and it is just as pretty as it looks in the pictures. I searched it and found just one small 1/4" slice in the cover on the left front corner (see pic #5) - otherwise no rips, no tears, no scuff marks. Just pop it on your own XS650! I believe some parts fit earlier XS650's but please verify that this part fits YOUR machine - using your own resources - BEFORE bidding - thanks.
