Condition:Used

Up for bidding is a beautiful Yankee 960 turn signal switch. It was in great shape when I purchased it years ago. I had the entire unit re-chromed so that it would be aesthetically perfect. The inside components are all original and were lightly cleaned with LPS Electric Contact Cleaner. All the wiring is original and flexible. I never had the chance to wire up for to see if it functions, but it appears to be mechanically in great working order. The switch moves properly with no binding. This comes with wiring instructions in color. These units have sold for over $370.00 on eBay in the past. This is a perfect art deco piece that would compliment any 1930’s-early 1950’s auto. Look carefully at the photos and please ask questions before bidding. Thank you!

McLaren F1 GTR Longtail sells at Gooding & Co for $5.28 million

Mon, 20 Jan 2014

McLaren F1 GTR Longtail (pictured) sells at Gooding & Co for $5.28 million Even with the arrival of the new McLaren P1, the ultimate supercar is still the McLaren F1. The McLaren F1 is one of rarest of the more modern supercars, and McLaren produced just 64 road going F1s in addition to a number of racing versions, with the F1 GTR Longtail the last, and rarest, of the breed. So the arrival of a McLaren F1 GTR Longtail on the auction block at Gooding & Co’s sale in Scottsdale raised expectations of a possible record-breaking price for the GTR Longtail, with pre-sale estimates putting the price between $5 and $7 million.

Sturgess Jaguar is the Franchised Main Dealer of the Year 2013

Thu, 11 Apr 2013

The dealer experience can make or break your relationship with a car brand, so having a strong, high profile group of main dealers that offers not just a showroom full of cars, but staff who are knowledgeable, helpful and prepared to go the extra mile, makes the difference. So Jaguar will be suitably chuffed that not only did March see them deliver their best sales results ever but that one of their main dealers – Sturgess Jaguar in Leicester – has been named Franchised Main dealer of the year in the Motor Codes Garage of the Year Awards run by Motor Codes, a government-backed operator of codes of practice for the motor industry. Motor Codes had 11,500 garage users rate their experience of of customer service in garages across the UK, and Sturgess came out on top in the Main dealer Franchise gong thanks to its “transparent, customer-focused approach and its all-round efforts to accommodate all types of customer requirements”.

GM returning to leasing with luxury vehicles

Thu, 30 Jul 2009

General Motors will return to the leasing business focusing on luxury vehicles, but not on a broader basis, Vice Chairman Bob Lutz said. "We will get back into leasing, but we are not going to use massive subsidized leasing to drive volume because it's volume without profitability," Lutz said July 29 in an interview with Automotive News. "We'd rather sell less at higher profit than sell more at lower profit." Lutz said it still would make sense for GM to do more leasing on its luxury vehicles.
