Condition:Used Brand:Yanmar Country/Region of Manufacture:Japan Engine(HP):36 (cont), 40 (1 Hr.) Manufacturer Part Number:3JH3E Stroke:4-Stroke

My boat had hull problems and I ended up tearing it apart it this spring. So, the engine/transmission is for sale. Engine purchased new on 3/15/2000 for $6981. Only 254 hours. Engine ran last in late December with no problems. Oil (tranny and engine) changed annually.

Getting to the water pump to change the impeller was a PITA and the pump seal was starting to weep, so I installed a replacement raw water pump on the front of the engine (on the main crank) where the impeller could be inspected or changed in <5 minutes (see pictures). As a result of the weeping, there is a bit of rust in the area around the original raw water pump (there are a couple of pictures to show that, look below the red hose). Apart from that, the engine looks almost new. The original water pump could easily be fixed or replaced if you prefer it there, but as long as you have space in front of the engine the front mounted location is far better.

Tranny is the KM3P with the 3.2 to 1 reduction

Since all was working when this was pulled out, it makes sense to keep all the needed pieces together. So, not only is the complete engine/tranny included, I will also include:
  • Full set of manuals (owners, parts, service, and installation manuals)
  • Control box
  • At least one key (if I can find the second one, I'll include it)
  • Engine shut-off (includes cable)
  • Radiator tank overflow bottle
  • Wiring harness (from engine to control box)
  • Hour meter
  • The original exhaust mixing elbow (L-type in stainless, never used)  and the one I installed (optional u-type, in bronze)
  • Morse Twin-S throttle and shift control

Lower 48 states only. Local pickup would be nice (I can place the engine into the back of a pickup with an engine hoist). I'll charge the actual price for freight.....it's probably $200-$500 depending on your distance from Dallas.

Also have a Aquadrive CV shaft, a 7' Inconel 1 1/4" shaft, an ABI stuffing box and a Campbell Sailor 3 bladed prop (20 x 12/12 x 1 1/4") that I can coordinate listing if you're interested.

Hyundai plots UK imports of Genesis Coupe

Sun, 17 Aug 2008

By Ben Whitworth Motor Industry 17 August 2008 17:49 Spurred on by massive interest in its Genesis Coupe Concept at the British International Motor Show, Hyundai UK is seriously considering importing a small number of the muscular 306bhp V6-engined coupes in left-hand drive format to sate local demand. At the moment, test engineers from Hyundai’s UK headquarters are undertaking evaluation drives in the American and Korean versions of the Genesis Coupe to determine which models are best suited to the UK’s driving conditions, and studying the homologation issues such a import decision would raise. 'We took the Genesis Coupe to the Show in order to gauge reaction from an enthusiast audience - the response was overwhelmingly positive and has encouraged us to begin building a business plan around bringing this car to the UK,' Hyundai’s marketing director Andrew Cullis told CAR.
