Chris Harris finds the McLaren P1 “a whole new thing” (video)

Thu, 20 Feb 2014

Chris Harris and McLaren’s Chris Goodwin in the McLaren P1 We know the McLaren P1 is exceptional, and we’ve heard almost the same ‘game changer’ dialogue from anyone who’s driven it. We’ve also seen the McLarenj P1 on the move in the recent Top Gear with Jeremy scaring himself witless in Belgium as his brain came to terms with the awesome 903bhp at the P1′s disposal on a less than forgiving Spa circuit in damp conditions. But what we have here – in case you’ve not seen it elsewhere – is a video review of the McLaren P1 from Drive’s Chris Harris, and it does the best job we’ve seen of explaining just why the P1 is so special and why it’s “…a whole new thing”.

The awards, which are voted for online exclusively by the ACFO membership, are highly-prized because unlike many other awards they reflect the day-to-day operational experience and expertise of fleet decision-makers. This prize is the latest in a long line of over 40 top gongs for the ground-breaking Ampera, which include the current European Car of the Year, What Car?

1953 Chevrolet Corvette historical video footage

As the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette gets closer to the hands of future owners, the popular model is also turning 60 years old, on June 30 to be specific. With about 1.5 million Corvettes being produced since 1953, the American sports car is still going strong. Enjoy this video from our friends at Bader TV, featuring historic video footage of the original 1953 model, along with some Corvette history factoids from Chevrolet.
