Thu, 24 Dec 2009Sangyup Lee, designer of the acclaimed Chevrolet Camaro, has recently resigned from General Motors to accept a position as Chief Designer of Exterior at the Volkswagen/Audi Advanced studio in California. Lee is scheduled to begin work mid-January 2010, reporting to Jens Manske who was appointed Executive Director earlier this year. One should be a production version of the Gumpert Tornante. Back in November we reported that Gumpert were teasing a new car debut for the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, which we concluded (or hoped) would be a production version of the Gumpert Tornante by TOURING we saw at the Geneva show in 2011.
Saab says it will restart production after securing short-term loan
Mon, 02 May 2011Saab aims to restart production within a week after its owner, Spyker Cars, secured a 30 million euro ($44.7 million) short-term loan to help ease its cash crunch. Spyker said it will borrow the money from Gemini Investment Fund in a convertible loan agreement with a 6-month maturity. The interest rate of the loan is 7 percent a year and the conversion price is 4.88 euros per share.
