ROGER MOORE'S signature Aston Martin from hit 1970s action adventure show The Persuaders! has been sold at auction for a world record £533,000. The 1970 Bahama Yellow DBS, which Moore's playboy character Lord Brett Sinclair drove on his adventures around Europe, was snapped up at Bonhams annual auction at the Aston Martin Works.

It might have been another three years before Honda's humanoid robot was unveiled to the public, but to celebrate the landmark date ten years on, Honda has launched a website dedicated to the robot and all it has achieved over the past decade. Hakan Saracoglu has been appointed director of Chery Motor's Shanghai design facility. He will work alongside director of corporate design James Hope who continues in his role overseeing Chery design. Turkish-born Saracoglu joins the Chinese state-owned manufacturer from Porsche where he worked from April 1998.
