MOST OF THESE CARBS WILL PROBABLY WORK FINE AS THE ARE OR WITH A LITTLE WORK. THE CARBURETORS HAVE BEEN IN STORAGE FOR SEVERAL YEARS. The rumours that the Bugatti Veyron would, at some point, get more than its original 100bhp or so have been around seen the Veyron first launched. Eventually, Bugatti delivered and we got the Veyron Super Sport – with 1200bhp – back in 2010 which was, inevitably, followed by the convertible version in the guise of the Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse sporting 1200bhp and a hole to let the sky in.
Everything is bigger in Texas, even speed limits
Fri, 07 Sep 2012Texas is preparing to open a stretch of toll road this November with the highest speed limit in America: 85 mph. The road between Austin and San Antonio will stretch for 41 miles, in an attempt to alleviate traffic congestion on nearby Interstate 35. There are already roads in Texas and Utah where the posted speed limit is 80 mph.
Kia's Forte Super Bowl ad features violent android lady
Fri, 01 Feb 2013There's no Jimmy Cliff or Flaming Lips in Kia's Super Bowl ad for the new Forte, but we can't help thinking they're the second company this week to miss out on co-opting seminal New Jersey punk outfit the Misfits' “We Are 138.” While attaching the song to the unveiling of Ferrari's new F138 was a no-brainer from a numerically synergistic standpoint, the track's poppy brutality and ominous query, “Is it time to be an android, not a man?” dovetails perfectly with the rise-of-the-sexy-machines theme of the Kia clip. Clearly, the android in this spot -- portrayed by former Miss USA Alyssa Campanella -- has the upper hand over the poor schnook oiling up the new Forte with his greasy mitts. We can't help thinking the whole ad would've been better if the Misfits' original pint-size vocal dynamo Glenn Danzig had been involved somehow.
