Ford 5.0L Coyote (2011-Newer) Nitrous System:
ZEX™ engineers created a nitrous system specifically tailored to the 2011 Ford Mustang GT’s 5.0 Coyote V8 engine. They not only tuned the kit to add 75-175 additional horsepower, but also made the installation easy and ensured engine safety at the same time.

This innovative nitrous system’s Active Fuel Control™ adjusts fuel delivery with changes in nitrous bottle pressure, so your engine never runs too rich or too lean while spraying. In addition, the system also offers an electronic TPS switch for reliable system activation at wide open throttle, which is perfect for the Mustang’s throttle-by-wire system. These patented, innovative features are what make this ZEX™ nitrous system the easiest way to add serious performance to the new Mustang GT, while at the same time ensuring engine safety. With all the extra torque and horsepower, it’s not uncommon to see over 1 second quicker ETs in the quarter mile!

Thu, 30 Sep 2010

The Ferrari SA APERTA unveiled in Paris Ferrari let us have info on the 599 Roadster which is the Ferrari SA APERTA last week, and today the very limited edition Ferrari has been rolled out to an appreciative audience at the Paris Motor Show. The Ferrari SA APERTA has been built to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Pininfarina, and the SA stands for Sergio and Andrea Pininfarina (the APERTA bit simply means ‘Open’). And the APERTA is very much the Roadster, paying only lip-service to any notion of enclosing the cabin.

A brief history of the 'Le Mans-style' start

Wed, 09 Jun 2010

The famous ‘Le Mans start’ Since the race’s inaugural meeting in 1923, tradition dictated a standing start. This later became known as a ‘Le Mans start’, and involved drivers lining their cars up along the pit wall in the order they qualified in. Racers would then have to stand on the opposite side of the track, and when the French Tricolor flag dropped the drivers would have to sprint to their cars, strap themselves in and begin racing.
