Sixty years ago, Jaguar test driver Norman Dewis posted a then-world record 172.4 mph flying mile in a Jaguar XK120. The car had no seat and a perspex bubble was fitted over the cockpit to improve airflow. Over last weekend, Jaguar returned to the site of that famous run: Jabbeke, Belgium.

First we see the engineers making final adjustments before a quick montage of the MP4-12C testing across the world. Students are asked to work to briefs set by three automotive manufacturers - GM PATAC, PSA-Peugeot/Citroen and Volkswagen - with the entries judged by a panel of design directors from both international and domestic OEMs.
