By Ben Pulman Motor Industry 29 September 2009 14:10 At the recent 2009 Frankfurt motor show CAR had a quick chat with Ferrari CEO Amedeo Felisa and quizzed him on the new 458 Italia, future variants, new powertrains, and his thoughts on the McLaren MP4-12C. Below are some extracts from the short-but-sweet interview. Felisa was born in Milan in 1946 and graduated from the University Politecnico with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

The base model is the 250bhp 2.5 V6, described as an ‘economy car’ because of its 25mpg, then there’s an RT with a 370bhp 5.7-litre Hemi, and then, of course, there’s the one everyone really wants, the 6.1-litre SRT-8. As is the tradition at Chrysler, the RT also offers an optional Track Pak.

The rank gathered by The Design Trust for Public Space for its Taxi ’07 display include a lithium-battery powered taxi from Hybrid Technologies, and the world’s fastest taxi. This hydrogen-burning 1000hp Crown Victoria has a projected top speed of 200mph, for Wall Street traders who really can't hang around.
