New, NOS Original 1974 Raider Twintrack Double Eagle Donaldson brand Airbox. These US made originals are near show quality, from original Raider factory surplus inventory. When these are gone, they are gone. These will fit only some of the '74 Raider Double Eagle models. These only fit the DEs equipped with the CCW/Kioritz KEC440/22 engines. These do NOT fit other Double Eagles with the 21 series engines, or other Raider models due to clearance issues with the hatch. I'm sure these will work on many other sleds with the space, or the carb in your lap. The bolt pattern is for the Walbro WD, and some WR model carbs, and will probably also work on many Tillotson HD carbs. Listing and price is for one air box. If you order more pieces, the shipping cost can be adjusted, or overages refunded. See our other auctions for more new, and NOS Raider parts, including new, correctly detailed flared '73-'75 Raider windshields, and new Raider drive sprockets. Thanks.

A few weeks back, we revealed spy shots of the next-gen Porsche 911 GT2. Reportedly pushing 620 hp from its turbocharged boxer-six engine, the track- and street-legal GT2 RS is said to be 200 pounds lighter than the GT2.

Cars in the living room--art or furniture?

Mon, 29 Aug 2011

It takes a special kind of person to put a $100,000 supercar in the living room instead of the garage, but we say if you have the means, go ahead and do it. A photo collage that appeared on www.home-designing.com last week showed Ferraris, Maseratis and Lamborghinis sitting in houses as showpieces, like the works of art they are. Our enthusiast side says the owners should be out driving these spectacular pieces of machinery, but something tells us that if you have a Gran Turismo in the rumpus room, there's probably another one in your garage, too.
