Porsche's bringing the 997-generation 911 Targa to the Detroit auto show and you can watch it debut live at 11:45 AM EST on Monday, January 13. BMW officially took the wraps off the production version 5 Series Gran Turismo today. The new model, previewed in concept form at the Geneva motor show in March, is set to bridge the gap between the automaker's X5 SUV and the 5 Series Touring wagon. As we expected, BMW has remained true to form: the 5 Series GT is identical to the design of its concept precursor, including a lower body section and taillamps that call to mind the latest BMW 7 Series, a front end reminiscent of the CS concept, and an upper cabin design familiar to anyone who's seen an X6.  The interior has seen the most change, if only in color and trim.

But if that’s not your forte, Ford and Miller Motorsports Park in Utah are offering a chance to learn the ins and outs of your Ford F-150 SVT Raptor pickup at the Ford Racing Raptor Assault program. The program provides hands-on experience at Miller’s state-of-the-art off-road course that includes an 8-acre rock-crawling course, a 22-acre high-speed off-road course and a 900-acre desert racing course to put it all together.
