Autoweek archives: BMW introduces the revvy 325is
Mon, 19 Dec 2011This selection from the Autoweek archives comes from longtime contributor Phil Berg back in September 1987. Berg examines the BMW 325is, with its new, free-revving, 2.5-liter inline six-cylinder, making BMW’s small sedan an even more desirable ride. McLaren P1 production starts in Woking
Tue, 08 Oct 2013McLaren P1 production starts in Woking The Geneva Motor Show in March saw the arrival of the first production version of the new McLaren P1 (and its arch-rival, the LaFerrari). But it’s taken until now – seven months later – for McLaren to finish final testing of the P1 before pressing the button on their clinical assembly line to start customer P1s rolling out. In between the reveal at Geneva and production starting, McLaren have been having a bash at the Nurburgring (with mixed results) and doing some final hot weather testing on the P1, but now – apart from a few inevitable tweaks once the P1 gets out in to the real world – the P1 is ready for its customers.
Range Rover Sport (2013) first official pictures
Tue, 26 Mar 2013Here’s the new Range Rover Sport, the third all-new Range Rover to be unveiled in the past 30 months. The design cues stem from the language established by the 2010 Evoque, while the lightweight, all-aluminium architecture is shared with the 2012 Range Rover. The result is a muscular, handsome car which promises to be faster, more frugal and more agile than its hugely successful predecessor.
